The Value of Living History
We are excited to share a new article "History You Can Hold: Why Hands-on Experiences bring the Past to Life" at the Liberty Gazette. As many consider learning opportunities for the Fall, this article describes the value of living history!
Â
To increase ways for participants to learn, we are pleased to offer historically inspired wooden muskets that may be ordered and picked up at an event. Along with offering wooden muskets, we are pleased to share a 9 video Playlist of how the musket may be used in Revolutionary War Era drill! These videos are designed to allow you to follow along and help you prepare for and retain the skills learned during history learning adventures.
Â
Expanded Resources
Along with wooden muskets, we've revamped our Liberty Encounters Shop to include live links to a wealth of resources, including an exercise in learning about and documenting family history, a compilation of historical songs with lyrics, recommended books and organizations worth following! For example, we enjoyed joining Landmark Events to offer a Soldier Life Presentation on the Brandywine Battlefield during their weeklong 1776 Tour centered in Philadelphia. Especially when planning out your school year, we pray they may be of use.

Christian Service Brigade
Last year, Aaron Bradford worked with Director Joel Fiscus of the Christian Service Brigade to write and present a four week training mission for the upcoming 250th Anniversary of American Independence entitled "American Liberty." At the annual Camp o Rama event, the local Battalion demonstrated some of the Revolutionary War Military Drills learned to other Battalions.
Â
This summer, Aaron Bradford, one of his sons, and Joel Fiscus had the joy of delivering a presentation at the Pennsylvania Homeschool Convention entitled "Making History Come Alive." Director Fiscus wrote an inspiring article entitled "Where Providence Meets Engagement" describes multiple offerings from this outstanding organization!
