AARON BRADFORD’s presentations are delivered in 17th Pilgrim or 18th Century American Patriot historical clothing and equipment, replete with musket, bayonet, sword, and drum, if so desired. The presentations combine living history elements with Power Point technology to create inspiring and unforgettable learning experiences. Each presentation can be adapted to accommodate a 20 to 45 minute time frame (with added time recommended for Questions and Answers).

Pilgrim to Patriot: Foundations of American Liberty – This presentation shows how the United States of America was built upon the foundations of Freedom, Faith, and Virtue (which historian Oz Guinness has named the Golden Triangle of Freedom) and how the Pilgrims embodied these principles, declared by our Founding Fathers as “indispensable supports” of American governance. Attendees will learn what core conditions the founders considered essential to the survival of the republic and how the Pilgrims of Plymouth epitomized these foundational building blocks.

Savannah’s Braveheart: James Jackson in the American Revolution and Beyond - Although Georgia was the youngest and most sparsely populated of the original 13 colonies during the Revolutionary War, her adopted son James Jackson had a profound impact in the Cause for American Independence and the Early American Republic. Learn why John Randoph of Virginia said of Jackson, “The determined foe of foreign tyranny; the scourge and terror of corruption at home.” Participants are immersed in his adventures fighting in the Georgia Militia and courageous service as a Georgia Legislator, United States Representative, Senator, and Georgia Governor! All Americans may be inspired by his sterling devotion to public service, conviction, and courage.

How the Road to the Siege of Yorktown went through the Siege of Savannah - Many Americans have heard of the 1781 Siege of Yorktown, Virginia. However, the victorious American and French Alliance that defeated the British at Yorktown used many lessons learned from the 1779 Siege of Savannah, Georgia. Participants learn of the colorful personalities and riveting dramatic events in Savannah, which witnessed the first time French and American soldiers fought alongside one another and resulted in the bloodiest hour of combat during the American Revolution. The lessons of coordination, proficiency, perseverance, and friendship forged through adversity are illustrated in an engaging narrative.

DAVID BRADFORD's unique presentations bring to life Plymouth Governor William Bradford’s first-person account of pilgrim history in a 17th Century dialect with period-correct clothing and accoutrements. Each presentation can be adapted to accommodate a 20 to 40-minute time frame (with added time recommended for Q&A) and includes power point slides. His talks are also available in assorted educational formats including formal speeches, informal talks, or dialogues tailored to a variety of meeting audiences and functions.

The Pilgrim Story and history are relevant and appropriate not only at Thanksgiving but any time of year. Below are several popular presentations that David Bradford shares with historical societies, schools, churches, political and civic organizations. Each has a slightly different emphasis. Common to each and central to the Bradford LLC mission is to present (in Gov. Bradford’s own words) excerpts from Of Plimoth Plantation that provide attendees with an accurate and compelling narrative of the pilgrim’s experience.

The Pilgrim Legacy and DNA of a Nation – This presentation answers the questions, “Who were the Pilgrims and what role and relevance did they have in America’s founding and future? What are the truths, the myths, and the outright lies that surround these iconic figures of American history?  And is there anything we can learn from their example and experience that would benefit us today?” Best for audiences that may have little or limited knowledge of the Pilgrim story or history

Understanding William Bradford – This presentation provides an intimate look at the life of William Bradford and the influences that made him such a powerful and effective leader of Plymouth Colony.  Excellent for audiences that are familiar with the pilgrim story and history yet seek a deeper understanding of the lives and contributions of the Mayflower passengers, native and colony leaders.
